Hip Arthritis

The hip joint is a ball-and-socket joint that connects the femur (thighbone) and the pelvis and is protected by a layer of cartilage. The cartilage plays a crucial role in ensuring seamless and pain-free movement in the hip joint.
Unfortunately, the most common hip joint ailment is osteoarthritis, which slowly develops when the cartilage in the hip joint deteriorates over time. This condition leads to direct bone-to-bone contact, causing inflammation, swelling, reduced mobility, and pain. However, there are surgical interventions like hip replacement available for managing hip arthritis. These treatments can provide significant relief and improve the quality of life for people with advanced hip arthritis.
